Volunteer's are the backbone of a charity like Wakefield Whirlwinds. We are always on the lookout for people with skills and talents to support in our volunteer network! We require a whole host of skills to ensure the club stays running.

Join Our Fundraising Team:

Our team of relentless fundraisers work around the clock to deliver a fundraising programme throughout the year to help raise crucial funds for the clubs sustainability & ongoing provision of disability sport in Wakefield! We are always looking for additional volunteers to join this group to help create ideas, run events, and support collections/raffles & more!

As a Fundraiser, you could be involved in: 

  • Identifying places to roll out or donation tins
  • Attend events to sell raffle tickets & collect donations
  • Contact companies to gain donations for Bi Yearly Raffles, Tombola's and other fundraising games
  • Identifying Fundraising events to take part in
  • Support fundraising efforts at annual events like our Dragonboat Race each summer (Paddlers, shore crew, Raffle's & Tombola's)
  • Running social media campaigns for our fundraising efforts
